Dave and Sollux run a buy-sell-trade music/DVD store (think the Sound Garden) together, right next to John’s shop. they actually kind of piss each other off but Dave is weirdly charming as a shop owner and Sollux is a genius at business so they make a pretty good team. Sollux also sells and trades computer parts sometimes, and both of them double as commentators for the local boxing matches, where they tend to kick each other under the table a lot.

I think it’s more like pages have brainghosts that are there to encourage them to reach their potential.
Tav’s ghost is Rufio, who gives him confidence to do the things he’s normally too afraid or timid to do.
Jake’s ghost is Dirk, who has been pushing him to be as good as he possibly can be from the start.
